Yesterday I was in Calgary again. It's like running a marathon every 2 weeks. I don't like flying at the best of times, but it makes me really nervous when things don't go completely smoothly. On the flight to Calgary we were going down the runway, just about to take off when the pilot slams on the breaks. After we come to a stop he tells us that a warning indicator had come on and we are going back to the gate to check it out. We were there about half an hour and they said everything was ok and we could leave. I was fairly nervous, I mean what was the warning light indicating? Were they sure it was nothing? How could they be sure? We obviously got to Calgary ok in the end, but it was a pretty turbulent ride (which had nothing to do with plane problems, but was due to weather). I always have to tell myself over and over "Flying is the safest way to travel." I just have trouble believing myself.
