musings i feel better today. i had a good afternoon, expect my mom pissed me off. she is a very strange woman. she said she'd wax my legs but then she came over and only did half of them. it took her an hour and she didn't even do that great a job. the woman i used to pay to do it took about 45 mins for both full legs. i think i'd rather spend the $30 than have my mom do it. she is frustrating. i spent the rest of the afternoon with T. it was nice, he fell asleep beside me for a few minutes (though he won't admit it). it was nice to just snuggle and be held for awhile. speaking of which, never ever tell any guy that you are sleeping with someone but not really in a serious relationship. i had this guy on icq spend like half an hour trying to convince me to sleep with him as well. i told him i was in a monogamous relationship regardless, and he said "oh i'm a virgin and we can use a condom." bleh, i met him once, he was such a creep. he said that my being disabled bothered him, but now that he's desperate apparently it doesn't. desperate usually isn't attractive. i'm reading a book called foxfire by joyce carol oates. the movie foxfire was based on it. if you've seen the movie you know it's a bit of a chick flick, but tough chicks. the movie is set in about the 90s but the book is set in the 50s. it's very cool actually. i think that in the 50s when they didn't talk about certain things, they got away with it more. like older men sexually abusing younger women, especially relatives or students. boys maiming and killing animals... i think that maybe things haven't changed all that much, it's just that now we talk about everything. so it seems like so many more bad things are going on. the "good old days" were probably just old.
